DESCEND
Background

The game shouldn't stop for a lost rule.

The scene is set. The barbarian enters Rage, the rogue asks about Sneak Attack, someone doubts a condition, and suddenly the table is staring at the manual.

Sometimes the problem isn't lack of desire. It's friction.

Searching for rules mid-combat kills the pacing. Creating characters can feel like filling out a spreadsheet. And a generic AI might answer confidently... even if it's hallucinating.

"Forge exists for that exact moment: when you want to keep playing, but you need someone to run the numbers without breaking the magic."

Background
Assisted Character Creation

Forge does the heavy lifting. You keep playing.

01

Assisted Character Creation

Choose, adjust, and understand your character step-by-step. The Archivist explains choices, stats, and mechanics so you don't have to guess what each decision means.

AI Rules Consultations

Ask questions during the game without opening ten tabs. Forge helps you resolve rules doubts in clear language, focused on real table play.

¿El Ataque Furtivo requiere ventaja si hay un aliado cerca?

No. Si tenés un aliado a menos de 5 pies del objetivo, y no tenés desventaja, podés aplicar el Ataque Furtivo.

Navigable Rules Archive

Search rules, actions, conditions, classes, and spells from the dashboard. If you need more context, you can escalate the query to the Archivist.

Transparencia

Transparency / Fair use

AI has real cost. The beta has clear limits.

Forge uses AI to help you create, consult, and understand rules. That has a real cost. To keep the beta free without breaking the experience, Founder Access works with fair use.

"The Forge holds a well-used torch better than an infinite Fireball."

Codex de la Forja

Reglas de Fair Use

You receive 50 one-time welcome credits when you activate your account.

You have 30 weekly non-accumulative credits.

You can create up to 3 characters per Founder account.

Consultations with the Archivist consume credits.

Heavy regenerations or iterations can consume more credits.

If something fails due to a verifiable technical error, it should not penalize your use.

We do not promise unlimited AI. We promise a beta that is cared for, useful, and honest.

Manifesto

Why Solo Role exists

"Our oath: to make tabletop gaming easier, not less human."

Solo Role exists to lower the barriers of D&D: intimidating rules, character sheets that feel like spreadsheets, and tables that lose their pacing searching for an answer.

Tabletop Companion

Forge begins there: as a tabletop companion to create, consult, and keep playing without taking the spotlight away from the party or the DM.

Not a VTT

It does not come to compete with Roll20, Foundry, or your physical table. It occupies another space: the Archivist who has the rule at hand when the adventure needs it.

Learn Without Shame

No one should feel foolish for asking how Sneak Attack, Concentration, or a saving throw works.

Feel Like Roleplay

It is not a SaaS with dice glued on top: clear, dark, modern technology, with a physical table atmosphere and AI always at the service of the session.

Background
IA Honesta

AI with clear rules, not a black box

We know what concerns you when a tabletop app uses AI.

Suspicion is reasonable: many generic AIs answer confidently even when they don't have the rule, the context, or the tone of a table well anchored. We won't dodge that roll.

1

AI does not replace your table's judgment. The DM and the party always have the final say.

2

The current focus is not 'an infinite DM'. Forge today helps with characters, rules, archive, and mobile character sheets for the real table.

3

Answers must serve the rule and the pacing. The goal is not to impress with prose: it is to help you decide and keep playing.

4

We don't sell unlimited magic. There are credits, fair use, and cohorts because we prefer a stable experience to a broken promise.

5

Human creativity comes first. Solo Role exists to empower players, DMs, and tables; not to replace the hobby with automated content.

Criterio Archivista

El Límite del Asistente

"Forge's AI has to earn its place as a good tabletop assistant: useful, clear, and discreet. If it puts itself above the game, the quest has failed."

Frequently asked questions of the Forge

Yes. Founder Access is free during the beta for the first 1,000 spots. No credit card required.
You will be able to leave your interest for future openings or the public launch, but Founder Access remains strictly limited to the first 1,000 spots.
No. And this is important. Forge today is in its current phase: assisted character creation, rules consultations, navigable archive, and mobile-first character sheet for the real table. Campaigns —the solo campaign experience with AI as DM— is the future vision planned for Kickstarter, not a feature available today.
Yes. Solo Role Forge will have full support in English and Spanish from the start.
During the Founder Access beta, you can create up to 3 characters per Founder account.
No. The 30 weekly credits are non-accumulative. The welcome pouch of 50 initial credits is granted once upon account activation.
No. The Founder Access beta is completely free and will never ask you for a card.
No. Forge doesn't seek to replace your party or your DM. It is designed as a tabletop assistant to remove friction—looking up rules and filling out sheets—while coexisting with your physical dice.
Forge is engineered to mitigate hallucinations and ground its knowledge in the official 5e SRD rules. However, we don't ask for blind faith: the final judgment and the last word always belong to your DM and party.
Not at all. Solo Role doesn't exist to automate the hobby or erase creators, DMs, or players. It exists to lower the entry barrier: explaining heavy rules, creating characters quickly, and giving you back game time.
Because when well used, it's a fantastic assistant, similar to that veteran and patient DM who explains a rule without interrupting the combat's pacing. It's a didactic and operational tool, not a social replacement.
Kickstarter corresponds to the funding of the next phase (Campaigns). There is no closed public date or definitive tiers announced yet. Registered founders will be the first to receive priority news.
